TAPPING YOUTHFUL CREATIVITY IN JULY

Its nearly time for our longest running program to get into high gear. The Free Childrens Summer Arts & Crafts Classes will be under the care of Board member Bob Eisnaugle this summer and are being
funded by United Fund of Jackson County.

Classes will be held every Tuesday and every Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. from July 7 to July 23.
Children who have completed kindergarten through 4th grades are eligible for these free classes. You must call Southern Hills Arts Council at 740-755-0209 to register your children. Each week children will learn a different medium with a different teacher, ergo you can take your vacation and still have the kids attend when youre in town. They wont have to worry about catching up with a program already underway.

In Jackson, children will attend at the Baptist Church on Broadway. Use the rear entrance. There is ample off street parking. In Oak Hill, students will use the Jenkins Community Room at the Library. In Wellston, classes will be held in The Depot on Railroad Avenue.

In all cases, parents and guardians are welcome to stay with the children. In the larger classes, additional adult assistance is always welcomed.

Children will have the opportunity to explore some basic musical concepts with Megan McKee. Bob Eisnaugle will introduce basic drawing skills. The third week will be devoted to crafts with a variety of teachers. Parents, please dress your children in clothing that can bear sitting on the floor, marching around the room, and can stand a dab of glue or paint.

Southern Hills send thanks to United Fund of Jackson County for providing yet another wonderful adventure for area children at no cost!
